Just when you thought about opening the front door to let some fresh air in the temps drop to 19*. Alabama weather has the best of both worlds. We have hot, humid summers and the winter can be just as unpredictable. We love our flip flops because you can pretty much wear all year long. Sometimes the temp does dip like its doing right now. 2. Insulation-Make sure your home is well insulated to keep the cool air in and the hot air out. Insulate your attic, walls, and windows to reduce heat transfer.
3. Window coverings-Install blinds, curtains,or shades to block out the sun’s heat during the hottest parts of the day.  This can help keep your home cooler and reduce the need for excessive air conditioning.
4. Ceiling fans-Utilize ceiling fans to circulate the air and create a cooling breeze. This can help reduce the reliance on air conditioning while still keeping you comfortable.
5. Outdoor shading-Create shade in your outdoor spaces to make them more enjoyable during the summer. Install umbrellas, awnings, or pergolas to shield you from the sun’s direct rays.
6. Watering plants-During hot summer months, plants and lawns may require more water. Adjust your watering schedule accordingly to keep them healthy and hydrated.
7. Outdoor maintenance-Check and clean your outdoor equipment such as grills, patio furniture,and pool equipment. Regular maintenance will ensure they are ready for use and extend their lifespan.
8. Safety precautions-Stay safe during the summer by practicing sun protection, staying hydrated, and following proper safety guidelines for outdoor activities. Remember to apply sunscreen, wear hats and sunglasses, and drink plenty of water.

Spring is here and so is the pollen! Make sure you clean out your gutters of any debris. This will keep your gutters flowing. Also if you have a patio, wash the pollen off of your cushions. You want your buyer to sit and imagine enjoying your patio or porch. You don’t want them to leave with pollen!
